I came across a collection of quotes the other day that very accurately describe my teen child. For example:
“After drinking water from a cup, drink more water from a different cup.”
“When the trash is full, put more trash on it.”
“When the ice cube tray is empty, store it in the freezer.”
In summary, these quotes illustrate that tweens and teens need a little bit (a lot!) of help with organization. This goes for the tweens and teens in your piano studio too.
While they aren’t entirely to blame (their brains are going through a process called “pruning”), your older students do still need adult intervention to keep them on track.
