Many of the piano games we share are head-to-head battles. With our newest primer piano ear training game, we’re taking a different approach.
Rhythm Flip is a collaborative activity where teachers and students work together to complete the game.
While competition is always fun, working together improves the teacher-student relationship that is so important to a good lesson experience.

Primer Piano Ear Training
Let’s be honest, note reading is the star of the piano game world. Teachers and parents are always concerned about note reading skills.
This is because a wrong note played by a student is glaringly obvious during a piano performance.
An incorrectly played rhythm on the other hand, can sneak under the radar if the audience isn’t familiar with the song.
But ignoring ear training is very detrimental to long-term progress.
While an audience may not recognize an incorrect rhythm, a piano student certainly will. Furthermore, if a piano student rarely reinforces rhythm skills, she will be dissatisfied with her piano experience because the tunes she wants to play will never sound familiar.
It is important, therefore, to reinforce ear training in every piano lesson.
This is easily accomplished with piano games like Rhythm Flip!
