Glissando and the Slimy Songbook is a pre-reading resource for early primer piano students. Children using this book will gain confidence using finger numbers to play on the black keys.

The music in this book is composed on the Wunder Staff using Wunder Dot Notation. Wunder Dots are finger number symbols that allow students to play pre-reading melodies before they learn traditional rhythmic notation.

Inside you will discover 8 loveable piano pieces with lyrics, finger number games, finger strength exercises, a coloring activity, a practice tracker, and a certificate of achievement.

A Delightful First Piano Book!

This book flies out of my studio whenever I have copies on hand. Young students love that it's something they can easily play, they love the illustrations, and they laugh out loud at the lyrics. I love this book and how it encourages my young students to want to play the piano!

This an amazing new addition to the Very Useful Piano Library! The finger number notation that hints at rhythm is unique and will help new pianists play interesting music from the start. The storyline and adorable character draw you in, and the lyrics are (as usual) hilarious and witty.

Nothing is cuter than a snail-themed book for brand-new beginners. I love the option for black key playing and the chance to get used to short and long sounds before reading notation on the staff! I tried it with my 4 & 5-year-old sons this month and they loved the concept, the cute storyline, and exploring music-making in new ways.
