A Late-Summer Piano Parent Email Template

Dear Piano Parents,

I hope you are having an enjoyable summer filled with adventures and memory-making.

Wow! What a wonderful summer I have had so far! Aside from a little bit of relaxing, I’ve also been doing a lot of reading, learning, and planning as I prepare for another exciting year of piano lessons.

A lot of information was given to you when lessons ended in June. I know it was a busy time for everyone, so this email is to touch base with you about September Start-Up in the hopes that it arrives when you have a moment to write some things on your calendar.

Lesson Schedule Confirmation

Our fall term of lessons will begin on _______. Set a reminder and mark your calendar. Keep an eye out for an email the week of _______ when I will confirm schedules and send more details.

Materials and Supplies

See below for details on the book(s) your children will need. Having these materials ready for the first day of lessons will ensure an efficient start, so please order or purchase them this week to avoid any delays.

Calendar of Events

I will send home a calendar during the first week of lessons outlining our piano recitals, holidays, exam dates, and more!

Contact Information Update

Provide the studio with updated contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses, to ensure smooth communication.

Studio Policies Review

Please take a moment to review our updated studio policies for the new term. These include important information about attendance, make-up lessons, and communication protocols.

Practice Expectations

This year, encourage your child to practice daily, aiming for at least 15 minutes per day (ages 4 to 6), and 30+ minutes per day (ages 7 and up). Consistent practice is key to their progress.

Lesson Preparation

This year, ensure your child arrives 5 to 10 minutes before lessons begin with their materials and any questions or goals they have for their practice.

Parental Support Tips

When the fall term begins, help your child by setting up a practice schedule, creating a distraction-free practice space, and providing positive reinforcement.

Thank you for your cooperation and support. I look forward to a fantastic term filled with musical growth and fun!

See you soon, Andrea
