Do your piano families know how much time you put into planning lessons? Do they know that you work late into the night searching for repertoire and printing out activities?
Probably not. But it sure would be nice if they did.
It’s not their fault. Piano teachers are not the kind of people who toot their own horns. So, most piano families assume you open your studio doors and, voila, lessons are ready.
To run a successful piano studio, however, it is important that people know the true value of the experience they are receiving.
But if you are not one to brag about all of your hard work, you must find other ways of communicating your dedication.
One such way is through the use of themed lesson materials like the Valentine Piano Practice Pack we are sharing in today’s post.
If parents see their children coming home with loads of adorable, themed lesson activities, it instantly communicates that you are putting in a ton of after-hours effort.
And this can make all of the difference in piano families returning to lessons year after year.

What’s Inside Our Valentine Piano Practice Pack?
Our Valentine Piano Practice Pack contains three loveable prints to help you celebrate Valentine’s Day. It includes a lesson assignment sheet, a performance log, and practice punch cards. Let’s explore each:
A Lesson Assignment:
Our Valentine Lesson Assignment sheet can be printed out and put into your students’ piano binders. Its keep-it-simple format means that you can fill it out in the last few minutes of your students’ lessons. This format also means that your students will not be overwhelmed with notes when they sit down to practice at home.
A Performance Log:
With our Valentine Performance Log your students can share their music with all of the people they love when February 14th rolls around. To complete this activity, students must put on mini performances for friends and family and then record the names and dates of these performances.
Practice Punch Cards
Using the cards is easy-peasy. Print out the resource, cut out the cards, and then hand them out to your students at the end of their next lessons. Then, instruct your students to punch out a corresponding hole on their cards (or cross out) after completing a daily practice session.
When your students return to lessons the following week, place any completed cards into a basket (make sure student names are written on the back) and then, at the end of the week, hold a raffle draw for a fun little prize or celebration.
