Have St. Patrick’s Day Fun With This Rhythm Robbing Piano Game

While primer-level piano students are nowhere near ready to learn about the 6/8 rhythms they’ll hear pumping through the air on St. Patrick’s Day, they are always ready for reinforcement when it comes to rhythm. If you’ve ever taught piano to young beginners, then you’ll know that rhythmic values often take a backseat to note reading when a little kiddo is making his way through a piano piece.

So, while celtic rhythms will have to wait, today we’re sharing a St.Patrick’s Day piano game that reinforces quarter, half, dotted half, and whole notes. The activity stars Sheldon The Squirrel from our WunderKeys Primer Method Books but can be used with both preschool (remove the dotted half note cards) and primer students.
