Piano Lesson Brag Tags – Celebrate Your Students’ Little Victories

Positive reinforcement is a powerful motivator for little piano students. Sometimes, something as simple as a “Way To Go!” will put a smile on their faces.

There are times, however, when piano students will need more than words of encouragement to get them through musical rough patches. If you have a student in this position, reach for our brag tags and watch their enthusiasm return.

Today’s Piano Lesson Brag Tags (download using the link at the bottom of the post) are intended to be used with piano students between the ages of 4 and 9 but can be used with any child who needs a little “pick me up”. They encourage the development of Growth Mindset and are a tangible way to help your students set learning goals.

To get started, print the brag tags on heavy paper and then cut out the individual cards. Next, use a punch to make a hole where the grey circle appears on each card. Now you’re ready to distribute brag tags when your students complete the corresponding tasks.

The hole punch in each brag tag allows you to clip them into a binder, attach them to a key ring, or use string to tie them to a little treat. Have fun!
