Five Student Reminders For Holiday Piano Performances
As mentioned above, the reminders reinforced in today’s printable are non-technical and (mostly) unrelated to the actual playing of their pieces.
Instead, the focus is on the procedural aspects of a recital performance that are universal to all students and that can provide a sense of structure.
This includes the introduction of the student, the introduction of the piece, the brief moment of pause and reflection before play begins, the awareness of performance speed, and… the bow!
In this structure your students will find a sense of calm that will result in wonderful performances.
Now, all of the skills listed above make for a pretty dry discussion. For this reason, we’ve incorporated them into a fun maze-based activity that is found at the bottom of the post.
