I would guess that you think my kids never need a piano practice poster or daily practice reminders. After all, I spend every waking hour in the piano world.
But, if I’m being honest, they absolutely need reminding… every, single day.
There are many changes Trevor and I would make if we had to start over as piano parents.
For instance, we would bend over backward to get our kids to take ownership of their practice.
When it comes to piano, we are helicopter parents; we schedule their practice times and sit beside them as they play. It’s a tough habit to break when you have kids entering their teen years.
Of course, there are worse things in the world than being involved piano parents, but instilling some independence never hurts either.
So, if Trevor and I had a do-over, we would use the My A To Z Piano Practice Poster we’re sharing today to create kids who were just a little bit more musically independent!

Kids… Take Control Of Your Practice
Today we are sharing My A To Z Piano Practice Poster (download below). With a practice reminder for every letter of the alphabet, your piano students can keep it close by during home practice sessions.
Encourage them to put it in a binder, place it in a picture frame, or hang it on a wall. Then, whenever they sit down to practice, they can do a quick review of their practice alphabet to help their work at home become more effective.
