Back To School Practice Bucks And New Note Reading Printables
Many teachers use reward-based practice incentives to inspire daily piano playing. But they can be used to support many other activities too.
For instance, if your students are struggling with note reading, you may want to combine our Back To School Practice Bucks with daily note reading activities.
If this is the case, then you will definitely want to check out our newest resource, The Back To School Book Of Note Reading Boosters.
With The Back To School Book Of Note Reading Boosters, you and your students have a jam-packed resource that can be used at home for extra practice or during lessons for off-the-bench activities.
Inside, your students will discover back-to-school-themed mazes, color-it mystery pictures, word searches, pattern play, dot-to-dot journeys, tic tac toe, and board games; all designed to reinforce note reading in C position.
In addition, the book includes a build-your-own note printing solo, a mix-and-match sight reading solo, and a make-a-motive composing solo.
For a complete rundown of everything in the book and a collection of sample pages, read this post on the Teach Piano Today Blog.

A Back To School Practice Buck is a piano studio reward that can be used to “purchase” little trinkets from a studio store.
A Back To School Practice Buck has the days of the week listed on one side. At home, your student must practice daily and then have a parent initial beside the corresponding day on the Back To School Practice Buck.
If each day has been initialed when your student returns to lessons the following week, the student keeps the Back To School Practice Buck in a binder (a ziplock baggie does the trick!). As the money grows each week, your student can choose to use the Back To School Practice Bucks to purchase little treats from your studio store.
