Halloween Piano Photo Props To Kick Off October

People in my neighborhood have already started decorating for Halloween. There are bats stuck to windows, cobwebs hanging from doors, and witches “crashing” into trees.

Whether you like it or not, Halloween is coming… and it seems to get people pretty excited!

So, your piano studio might as well join in 🙂

In today’s post, we are sharing a set of Halloween photo props that you can use to celebrate piano students and kick off the season of tricks and treats!

Even if you are not Halloween’s biggest fan, you can still embrace it as a way to motivate kids to try hard in lessons and practice often at home.

A Quickstart Guide To Halloween Piano Photo Props

Photo props are cute and creative signs to acknowledge students who have worked hard. They are laminated or placed in photo frames and then given to students to hold while a celebratory photo is taken.

It is absolutely essential that parental permission is acquired before photographing any student and sharing the subsequent images on social media channels.

In our experience, most parents are happy to see their children being celebrated on studio Facebook and Instagram pages.

And for your piano studio, it is marketing gold!

Your teaching schedule will fill up quickly when your local community sees how many smiling students enjoy your piano lessons.

But even if you can’t share the images, the photographs are wonderful moments that can be sent to parents… who will appreciate the extra effort you take to make the piano lesson experience so delightful.

You can download today’s Halloween piano photo props at the end of the post, but first…

Are Your Studio Shelves Stocked With Halloween Music?

Do you know that we now have two supplementary piano books devoted entirely to Halloween?!

Bat von Flapp’s Fairy Tales and Scary Tunes and Mummy Rocks The Costumer Contest are from Andrea and Trevor Dow’s Very Useful Piano Library. They are jam-packed with piano pieces (including duets), note-reading games, warm-up exercises, sight-reading activities, a rhythm activity, a practice tracker, and a certificate of achievement.

Bat von Flapp’s Fairy Tales and Scary Tunes, V. U. Level D (available here) is an early primer resource that helps young kids gain confidence playing with A, B, C, D, and E in middle C position.

Mummy Rocks The Costume Context, V. U. Level G (available here) is a mid-primer resource that delights students who can play stepping and skipping notes in 3/4 and 4/4 time.
