A successful piano recital doesn’t start on stage. It starts weeks before—when no one is watching.
It starts in those quiet practice moments when your student decides to show up, set a goal, and follow through.
That’s why we created My 4-Week Recital Practice Planner (4 versions)—a piano recital practice planner that turns “I hope I do well” into “I know exactly what to do next.”
Because here’s the truth: confidence isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you build. One small, clear step at a time. And when students can see their plan laid out in front of them, everything changes. The overwhelm fades. The guesswork disappears. They start to feel in control.
And that’s the moment it clicks.
The nerves don’t go away—but they shift. Into excitement. Into focus. Into pride. Because they know they’ve done the work.
And when they walk onto that stage? They’re not just hoping it goes well.
They’re ready.
You can grab all four recital planners below and put them to work in your studio right away.

Turn Recital Prep Into A Plan
We’ve created four planners, each with its own fun theme. Use them in upcoming lessons so your students walk out with a plan—not just a piece.
Start with the first page. Have them fill in their recital date and their recital piece. Then pause and think. What do they already do well in this piece? Write it down. What still needs work? Write that down too. This step matters, because you’re getting specific. You’re taking something vague and turning it into something they can actually act on.
Then move to the 4-week plan.
Now you’re going to turn those ideas into action. For each week, have your student choose one clear goal and write it on the line. Then, right below it, list the action steps they’ll take that week. Every step should connect back to what they said needed work. This is how you create focus. This is how you remove the guesswork.
Finally, show them the daily tracker.
One square. One day of practice. They color it in when they’re done.
That’s it.
Because consistency beats intensity every time. And when they come back next week, you won’t have to ask if they practiced… you’ll see it.
If you’re using one of the themed planners, there’s an easy way to make the entire experience feel even more connected for your students…
Pair It With A Story They’ll Love
We’ve just released a brand-new book, and one of the planners in this set was designed to pair perfectly with it.
If your mid-primer students love soccer—or just love a good story—Coach Webber’s Keeper Seeker Songbook, V. U. Level E is about to become a studio favorite.
Coach Webber is on a mission to find a goalie… but this stressed-out spider is not having much luck. A ball pops on a rhino’s nose, a sloth can’t get up to speed to make a save, and an ostrich hides its head in the ground.
As students follow this hilarious story, they’ll build confidence playing music in Middle C position. Each piece is catchy and perfectly leveled to keep progress feeling achievable.
But that’s not all!
The book also includes note reading games, warm-up exercises, sight reading and rhythm activities, a practice tracker, and a certificate of achievement.
