Keeping in touch with the families that support your piano studio is the most powerful non-teaching tool for continued growth.
Building rapport with parents through regular communication increases their commitment to music education while also making the day-to-day operations of your studio much easier.
Not to mention, it also keeps parents in the loop. You would be amazed at how few messages make it home when they are delivered by the mouths and memories of six-year-olds 🙂
Now that most teachers have wrapped up lessons for 2022, you should reach out to parents one last time before Christmas.
We have made this easy for you by sharing a “copy and paste” Christmas letter to piano families that you can email to wish them a happy holiday while including a few important reminders.

Are your studio shelves stocked with all of the piano books you will need when lessons return after the holidays?
This year, many students will return to your studio quite early in January. This means you will have less time to get the resources they will need to begin another year.
If your supply of books is getting low, hop on over to the WunderKeys Bookstore and pick up everything you need to bring smiles to your students.
You can even click on a cover below to learn more about a few of our most popular books.

Hi Everyone,
With Christmas just around the corner, I want to take a moment to thank you all for your dedication to piano lessons.
Your support of my studio has meant the world to me and has allowed me to continue sharing my love for the piano with my students.
During this season of gift-giving, I feel so fortunate to give music and all of its gifts to your children.
Research has shown that children who study music tend to have better problem-solving skills, improved memory, and increased concentration. Music education has also been linked to increased self-esteem and confidence, as well as better social skills and teamwork abilities.
All of this means that I cannot wait to be a part of your children’s continued growth as they head into 2023!
Until then, I encourage your children to practice regularly over the holiday break. While I know it is a busy time, performing for family or spending just a few minutes each day at the piano will ensure that we can start lessons in January with brand new material.
Here’s to another year of making music, playing games, and creating unforgettable memories at the piano.
I will see you all when lessons return on January 3rd!
Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
