How It Works: Merry Christmas Keyboard Awareness Doodles
Our Merry Christmas Keyboard Awareness Doodles game is easy to use and requires no prep other than printing! Here’s how it works:
- Roll the Die: Your student rolls a die.
- Name the Note: Using the legend provided, they identify the key that matches the number rolled.
- Draw the decoration: They follow the drawing instructions corresponding to the named key. For example, if they roll a two and the key is A, they draw one Christmas light on the tree.
- Repeat: Your student repeats these steps seven more times, adding decorations with each roll.
- Color the Picture: After the tree is decorated, they can color in the rest of the picture, unleashing their creativity.
This activity is perfect for private lessons, group classes, or as a quick “mental break” in longer sessions. It’s especially helpful for beginners who are still solidifying their understanding of the keyboard layout.
