In the midst of a busy day, a picture of a student stopped me in my tracks and had me grinning from ear to ear.
In the picture, a smiling girl is sitting on a piano bench wearing a “meow-maid” t-shirt and a shiny pink hat that says, “Mermaid Life”. She’s proudly holding The Cat, the Mermaid, and the Soaking Wet Songbook.
Creating a moment like this was one of our goals when we decided to publish Andrea and Trevor Dow’s Very Useful Piano Library.
We set out to design supplementary piano books that were truly loved; piano books that would pique the interest of your students in a way that no other piano books have ever done before.
The amazing “catermaid outfit” that this girl chose to wear to her lesson was so validating for us. This student loved her piano book so much that she actually dressed for her lesson to match her music book.
It’s that very connection to learning materials that is driving our creation of Andrea and Trevor Dow’s Very Useful Piano Library… and all of the free printables that go along with it!

Mermaid-Themed Piano Lesson Assignment Sheets

Today’s mermaid-themed lesson assignment sheets can be used with any student but are specifically designed to match The Cat, the Mermaid, and the Soaking Wet Songbook. They are a quick and to-the-point way of keeping lesson notes.
