Music Composer Trading Cards

WunderKeys Comic Composer Cards For Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms

A few years ago, we created WunderKeys Composer Cards as a fun way to teach piano students about the famous faces behind their music.

WunderKeys Composer Cards, like baseball cards, became something kids were itching to collect.

Over time, our collection grew to include Composer Cards for Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Beach, Schumann, Chaminade, Fanny Mendelssohn, Felix Mendelssohn, Joplin, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Chopin, Debussy, Bartok, Haydn, Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky, and Boulanger.

With sports (and therefore sports trading cards) on the sidelines over the last few months, we figured that now was a good time for composers and Composer Cards to take center stage!

In today’s post we’re growing our Composer Cards to include Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms.

If your students have never used Composer Cards before we’ll also fill you in on how to use them to inspire music history research in your studio.

Today’s WunderKeys Composer Cards

WunderKeys Composer Cards are the baseball cards of the music world. The cards are provided in a double-sided pdf document and are sized to fit in plastic trading card page protectors that can be placed in student binders.

To use them in your studio, simply send home a Composer Card (or two) with parent instructions that help your students research the composer and fill out the questions on the back of the card. When your students return the following week with the completed card, discuss what they discovered.

Our Composer Cards are a simple and exciting way to add some music history to your piano lessons.
