Your primer piano students should be able to name the keys on your piano. More importantly, however, your primer piano students should be able to connect note images with their corresponding keys on the piano.
Mini Key Cards are effective tools for accomplishing this learning goal. If you spend time cruising piano teaching blogs you’ve probably seen images of children placing these little, laminated note cards over top of piano keys.
In today’s post, we’re adding to the fun by sharing WunderKeys-themed Mini Key Cards. Check them out below.
To help your students improve their note-to-key connections, print, cut out, and then laminate the mini key cards we’re sharing below. We recommend gluing them to dominos (get them from your local dollar store) to make them friendly for small fingers (and to prevent the cards from getting lost between the keys).
Next, challenge your student to take each card and place it over its corresponding key on the piano. Today’s printable contains mini key cards that correspond with all of the notes covered in the WunderKeys primer series.
