Tracking Summer Piano Practice

A Color-It Summer Practice Tracker For Your Piano Students

When summer rolls around, kids and their parents tend to lose track of time. If students are not careful, days and then weeks can pass while their pianos gather dust. That is just one reason why they need a summer piano practice tracker.

In addition, if you don’t want to spend the first four weeks of fall piano lessons reviewing last year’s repertoire and getting your students up to speed, you’ll want to make sure they have a motivating way to track their practice sessions.

And there are two things that really motivate kids: coloring pages and tasty treats.

Today’s printable summer practice tracker for your piano students combines both of these things!

It will get your kids excited about completing 81 days of piano practice before they return to lessons in August and September.

A Coloring Page To Track Summer Piano Practice

One of my fond summer memories is of getting a rainbow popsicle treat from the ice cream truck that rolled around our neighborhood.

That same popsicle treat, combined with the Summer Practice Tracker we’re sharing today will inspire your piano students to complete 81 days of practice before they return to lessons.

To get started email today’s Summer Practice Tracker (download available below) to your students. Instruct them to color in one square of the “Mystery Picture” after each day of practice this summer. Upon returning to lessons in the fall, have your students bring their completed Summer Practice Trackers. If they have indeed completed 81 days of practice and revealed this mystery picture, reward them with a popsicle!
