A Valentine’s Day Piano Solo For Your Preschool Students

Holidays and other special events can sneak up on piano teachers. If you’re not careful, smaller events, like Valentine’s Day, can come and go faster than a shot from Cupid’s arrow.

Holidays, however, cannot sneak up on your piano students. Children perceive the calendar as one long string of special days.

While you probably haven’t given too much thought to Valentine’s Day, I am certain it has is now front and center in your students’ minds. So, when the day arrives, and your piano student walks through your door, it’s a good idea to have something prepared.

And, if it happens to be a preschooler that walks through your door on February 14th, you’ll be thankful you stumbled upon today’s post because we have a Valentine’s Day piano solo just for your littlest students.

Today’s printable piano solo is designed for students who are working in WunderKeys Piano For Preschoolers, Book 3. The piece is played on a group of three black keys using the RH 2, 3, and 4 (Pointer, Middleton, and Ringo) fingers using the “Wunderbie notation” found in the WunderKeys preschool books where characters replace finger numbers. Your students will love playing the familiar tune and singing along with the Pointer Panda inspired lyrics.

If you are not yet teaching students using the WunderKeys Piano For Preschoolers program, read some teacher success stories to discover how it can fill your studio schedule with students.
